How the candidate pathway works

Apply online
Submit your application through our candidate portal with qualifications, career history, and your vision for Punjab.

Surrender foreign citizenship
Formally renounce your current foreign citizenship through the relevant government authority of your country of residence.
Foreign authority3
Re-acquire Indian citizenship
Apply to the Ministry of Home Affairs, India. The party's legal team will guide and support you through this process.

Establish Punjab domicile
Reside in your assigned constituency for a minimum of 6 months and complete voter ID and Aadhaar registration.
Punjab State5
Receive MLA ticket
After final screening and committee approval, you are assigned your Punjab constituency and campaign begins.
